Østmarka Trail Challenge – The Refugee Route is a tough trail race of about 37 km that follows blue-marked paths through Østmarka. This race follows a route that was used during World War II to help people escape the country, stretching between Enebakk/Øyeren and Skullerud in Oslo. It is not for the faint-hearted, as it presents technically challenging terrain with nearly 1000 meters of elevation gain, which can be a challenge even for experienced runners.
